God's Gift to Us:
After the fall of Adam, man has fallen under the
"Law" with the requirements to perform various types of sacrifices to
atone for the sin and other short-comings in our lives. In John 3:16, "For
God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever
believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Because of
this sacrifice we can accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and not be
punished under the "Law". Jesus Christ was the sacrifice that covers
all of our sins.
How Can I Receive This Gift?
Unlike most other gifts and rewards that we have
in life, this gift is free of charge. All you have to do is ask and receive.
"Here I am", says Jesus, "I stand at the door and knock. If
anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I WILL COME IN and eat with him and
he with Me." (Revelation 3:20) Jesus wants a real and personal
relationship with you. This was His plan from creation.
Steps to Salvation
Admit
that you are a sinner. Admit your sinfulness, separation and lostness.
Be
willing to turn from your sins.
Believe
that Jesus died for you and rose from the dead.
Through
prayer, pray from the heart, asking Jesus to come in. Ask Him to forgive you
and wash away your sins with His sacrificial Blood. Invite Him, through the
Holy Spirit to come in and control your life. Accept Him as your Lord and
Savior.
How to Pray for Salvation?
Dear
Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner and I need your forgiveness. I believe
that you died for my sins. I want to turn away from my sins and live a new
life. I invite you into my heart and my life. I want to trust and follow you as
my Lord and Savior. Amen!
If
you have prayed this prayer, your salvation is assured and the angels in heaven
rejoice. The Bible says, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will
be saved." (Romans 10:13)
